Education for Ministry (EfM)

Education for Ministry is a program designed for lay people, with a focus on theological topics. It’s a 4-year program (participants commit to one year at a time), and takes place in small groups with a trained mentor. The program focuses on scripture, church history, theology and ethics, bringing those into your own life and heart, so you can live out your baptismal ministry and promises in your everyday life.

EfM is currently available in person (in select locations) or over Zoom. Tuition is $350, though please don’t let finances be a burden. If you’re interested in taking part in EfM but the cost is holding you back, please speak to Rev. Cate. If you’d like to join an EfM group or would like to learn more about it, please contact David Harrison, the Diocesan EfM Coordinator, via email (djh@djharrison.ca).

Because of the impacts of Hurricane Fiona around our diocese, the Synod Arrangements Committee decided to postpone the upcoming Diocesan Synod (originally scheduled for October 14-16, 2022) to May 26-28, 2023. More information to follow, closer to the time!
